This recipe monitors the operational health, responsiveness, and growth of organizational Question Walls. It analyzes unanswered questions, SLA breaches, wall inactivity, contributor performance, and user adoption trends to measure how effectively knowledge is being shared and maintained across the organization.
Healthy collaboration requires active participation, timely responses, and consistent knowledge sharing. Many organizations struggle with unanswered questions, stagnating walls, uneven participation, and low adoption. This recipe provides an operational view of Question Wall engagement and collaboration maturity to help leaders track responsiveness, identify bottlenecks, evaluate contributor performance, and improve knowledge flow.
Step 1 — Compute unanswered question backlog by wall
Calculate total questions, unanswered questions, and unanswered percentage for each Question Wall to identify backlog risk.
Step 2 — Detect SLA-breached unanswered questions
Identify unanswered questions older than 7 days and compute SLA-breached counts and ratios per wall.
Step 3 — Identify inactive walls with open backlog
Detect Question Walls with no question or answer activity in the last 30 days and evaluate their unanswered and SLA-breached questions.
Step 4 — Compute contributor responsiveness
Measure answer volume and average response time for contributors and classify them into responsiveness tiers.
Step 5 — Assess ownership risk by assignee
Calculate unanswered and SLA-breached questions per assignee and classify ownership risk levels.
Step 6 — Analyze wall engagement trends
Track question and answer activity per wall over time and compute answer rates to detect engagement decay.
Step 7 — Measure knowledge closure effectiveness
Evaluate the distribution of open versus accepted questions to assess collaboration quality.
Step 8 — Identify high-engagement questions
Detect questions generating the most replies to surface ambiguous or high-impact topics.
Step 9 — Compute new user adoption
Identify users posting their first question and summarize new participant growth by month.
Step 10 — Generate governance action recommendations
Create a wall-level snapshot table and apply AI classification to recommend governance actions such as steward assignment, moderation enablement, SLA improvement, or archival review.
