Accelerate critical table's business description curation through relevant, context-aware questions for stewards, thereby enriching organizational context.
Step 1 — Identify Critical Tables
Use the Critical Tables Identifier output to determine which tables require prioritized metadata enrichment.
Step 2 — Exclude Tables with Inherited Descriptions
Remove tables already inheriting business descriptions from associated glossary terms to avoid redundant curation.
Step 3 — Exclude Previously Assigned AI Questions
Filter out tables where AI-generated questions were already assigned to prevent duplication.
Step 4 — Enrich Metadata Context
Bring together existing business description, schema name, and assigned steward to provide full context for question generation.
Step 5 — Evaluate Steward Load
Calculate the number of unanswered questions per steward to understand current workload.
Step 6 — Capacity Planning Rule
Apply the rule that no new questions are assigned if a steward already has more than 10 unanswered questions.
Step 7 — AI Question Generation Logic
Generate up to three non-repetitive, context-aware business questions per table based on ambiguity, stakeholders, usage frequency, KPIs, or regulatory impact.
Step 8 — Final Output
Produce the final, assignable set of targeted questions and push updates to the Question Wall.
| Insight Category | What the recipe discovered | Business Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Steward Bandwidth | Several stewards had exceeded the allowed unanswered question threshold | Prevented overload and ensured faster turnaround for new assignments |
| Metadata Gaps | Many critical tables had ambiguous or missing business descriptions | Improved AI-generated description quality and enterprise search relevance |
| Governance Bottlenecks | New assignments were constrained due to a backlog of pending unanswered questions | Enabled targeted governance intervention and workload rebalancing |
